Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I wouldn't be alive if I didn't have 8 years sober I know that.
I went to a meeting tonight...for all the wrong reasons and its a long story...but 3 of the people that spoke...had long term sobriety and drank again...ya never know when It will happen to the best of them (us).
I thought for sure after 5 years...I would never drink again....I went 8 years...then life happened and my BRAIN...couldn't deal.
I'm glad you are not beating yourself up....and instead building up again...Live the best everyday...if you can do it sober..even better for YOU....not for anyone else...no one else matters.
How are you planning on becoming a happy free recoveree?? See I quit drinking for so many times i cant count. Hel I would swear it off every day i woke up. Then one day , i was done. I was going to kick the door down and leave my family and go drink till the end or ... a little light in my head said to go to aa. It was the way I was able to go from drinking LOTS to today I dont desire to drink. See I have alcoholism. I needed alcohol to feel like I could deal with life.. Now I learned a few "tricks' to help me. I have tools. I never had coping skills and still they are marginal but I dont HAVE to drink today.
I hope you find a good path and get some good sober
C'mon!
