Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Hey!
After some time being off the website I decided this was the best place to see if I could get help with this issue....actually wondering now why I ever left...ANYWAY..
My Dr put me on Naltrexone which greatly reduces alcohol cravings..I am now going to AA meetings and my Dr thought this would be a great compliment. Naltrexone really works but it has horrible side effects for me even in small doses...I get really anxious , dizzy..severely weak ..
These side effects are a pain in the ass frankly. I ve read that this drug has done wonders for people but nobody seems to comment these horrible side effects...
CAN ANYBODY HELP ME... will these side effects go away...what do I do

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

This would be a great discussion to have with an AA sponser also, as soon as you get one.
I was on camprell for a very short time and I just felt I no longer needed the drug anymore because I had been going to several months of AA meetings and I had a great support system.
You can go to the naltrxone websight and you may find more information on it but I think your doctor would be a better source.
IMHO
God Bless!
Thanks for your input.
I wish you the best.
