My first AA meeting.

Going to my first meeting today....not sure what to do or expect..any advice is thanked for in advance.

Just keep in mind-they are just people too and they have a drinking problem too.You don't have to say a word if you don't want to. Just relax and absorb what you can from the people sharing their stories.

well if like me you will remember absolutely nothing but one specific thing about the time at your first meeting....I can tell you what mine was but I don't want to...the rest of the meeting was a grey fog all around me until leaving when everyone ended up saying they were going to go dancing or eat I think it was dancing but I thought all that would cause me to drink and I bolted away not to return for more than 8 or 9yrs....but that did not start my sober life either but I did remember more about things there....

good you are willing to try AA....your about to be catapulted into the fourth dimension....
