The baby steps grow into longer strides. After just a few days, the stakes are higher. We don't want to lose the time we've passed already. We don't want those sober days days to be for nothing.
The paradox for me is that as momentum grows comes the onslaught of emotion. The "thawing" period I have yet to survive without a drink.
So, kudos to Mel for 6 weeks. Hang in there kid. Kudos to Chris for getting back up after every fall. Kudos to Wease on day 3. ExJersey on 80+, Sara on 60+ (?). I can't keep track. lol. I'm just saying I appreciate all of you at your various stages of recovery.

That's what makes the world of recovery go 'round Olive. No matter how "long" ya got, there's always somethin someone says that makes me go "hmmmmmm....."
Someone with 1 day may say something I've never thought of that helps me and someone what has 18 years may say something that makes me go "WTF????" haha! That's what it's all about...like the hokey pokey don'tcha know?

At least that is how it feels today!
And HC is right -- there is always something to learn from what others have to say, always a new thought that makes me go Hmmmm and adds to my growth.
