This forum can be a wonderful place to reflect and recover. I have used this site in my recovery for 2 years now and it has all been a wonderful learning expereince. Although I do not have the pleasure of seeing many face-to-face, there is a connection and a spirit of connectedness that has been invaluable in my sober living.
I am not here as much as I was in the very beginning however, I read posts almost daily.

It is amazing to see and experience those words jump out of the pages and onto my living. This deal really works, it really does.

Darrell, As you mentioned I don't post like I used to either but you said there is a connection & spirit to those on here that are truly seeking recovery or maintaining what they have.

Not only is it good to see people recover but also to see there families recover and watch the loneliness vanish . Alcoholism is a family disease and one alcoholic can have a direct affect on at least 16 people directly around them.

Wife, husband ,sons , daughters ,mothers ,fathers, friends, work mates,neighbours the list goes on.

I have seen mothers come into the rooms of AA with there children because there unable to get someone to watch them while they go to a meeting.

In some cases the children can't sit still , because they are children. Then you see as the mother gets well the children just sit there and colour in everyone's not on edge. Then they are able to make some other arrangements with the Kids.

Yes life does take on a new meaning because people are living it and not just surviving.

Well that's my own experience.
