Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Let me know how it goes if so! I'm 64 days 'dry' now but feel I'm just at the start of my sober journey and really don't think I could drink just the odd glass now and maybe never.
peace!
Food for thought..I was you 10 years ago>> food for thought..Les >>hugs Bro
I don't know if you are an alcoholic or not or whether you just gave up booze for Lent?
It's always worth considering how you felt during this dry time. Did you find it hard to give it up? Did it affect the way you felt compared to how you normally feel - better, worse or no different?
You are obviously a man of faith, do you find ever that drinking gets in the way of your conscious contact with God, as you understand Him?
Apologies for all the questions - just interested to know how the experience affected you.
Good on you for following through on the Lenten resolution. I wish you well...
YF,
Dennis
