Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. There is no human problem which could not be solved if people would simply do as I advise.

Many of us used a know it all act to keep people away. We kept everyone around us on edge. They were afraid of our judgements, just as we were secretly afraid of theirs. Why were we so busy with everyone elses life? So we didnt have to look at our own.! We were afraid of what was happening to us. But we didnt want to see how sick we were becoming. Now were not afraid. We dont need to keep people away. We dont need to run their lives. We have our own life to live. And were enjoying it.
Prayer for the Day.
Higher Power, You are the expert, not me. Teach me I am Your student.
Action for the Day.
Today, Ill list the ways I chased away those who cared about me.Ill work on the Steps on these items for the next week.

No one could tell me anything I thought I new it all. So what chance did anyone have at reaching me?
I would lie, manipulate and gossip about others so I didnt have to look at me. And if anyone tried to get close I would push them away by ignoring them, cutting them of as though they never existed.
To come into recovery and to be freed from the bondage of self took a while but today I can accept people and myself as we are and for me that makes life so much simpler.
I dont need to would lie, manipulate and gossip about others. I have my own life to live and I am enjoying it.
People who gossip to you will gossip about you.

Just to let you know how smart I really was. When I was 11 years old and in sixth grade the teachers I had who had gone through university used to grab me and shake me and say things like . Lionel we can't teach you anything.
Now these were people who had gone through 4-5 years of university and they couldn't teach me anything how smart was I.lol
