During our illness, it was as if our spirit lived in a deep, dark cave. Our spirit became gloomy, cold and lonely. Our spirit didnt know how to get out of the cave. We were dying.
Recovery brings us into the sunlight. At first, we cant see a thing-its so big! There are so many ways to go! We dont know what to do.
But then our eyes get used to the light, and we feel warm rays of the sun. We see we arent alone anymore. We relax .We know our spirit is in a better place- a place were we can live!
Prayer for the Day.
Higher Power, help me feel at home in the sunlight of my new life.
Action for the Day.
Addiction made my world so small. It made my future so dark. Today, Ill list three new choices I want to make to better my life.

Much like the reading my spirit was in this deep dark cave and there seemed there was no way out I just lost all contact with the outside world a very lonely place to be.
But when I came into recovery and admitted to myself I was alcoholic gradually I was able to crawl out of that cave and with the help of other alcoholics Whom I believe God was working through I started to see hope. And again gradually I was guided from that deep dark cave into the sunlight. Although I didnt enjoy the Ego-ectomy and will- transplant I had to have first.lol.
And if I was to list three choices I want to make to better my life.
One would be that I be more aware of Gods will for me and that I be given the grace to carry them out.
That I be more Patient Kind Tolerant and Loving towards others and myself.
And that I be given the ability to be able to look for the good in People, Places,Things and Situations .
Well thats enough from me for now.
