Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

As some of y'all know the past 8 months have been filled with heartache. Today is the last day that I saw my mama a year ago. I had to drive 6 hours to take care of her while my stepdad was out of town. We sat on the back porch talking and laughing. If I only knew that that was the last time I was going to hug her goodbye when I left, I would have held her a little big longer. I feel so selfish for not wanting to stay longer. I even remember her telling me that she should could rest now that I was happy and in good hands with E. She knew she was declining quickly and was letting me know in her own little way, funny I didn't realize it until now. She is probably looking down from heaven just shaking her head at me. If she only knew I would still need her, would she have fought a little harder? Again me being selfish. I just miss her and I need her. I'm gonna go home from work to sit in awkward silence next to E because I can no longer even talk to him about anything. He doesn't even ask how my day is anymore. My best friends have been busy with their lives the past week and havent even had the time to message or call me back. I feel lonely and this is when I would normally stop and pick up that bottle of vodka for comfort, because you know it's always there for ya when no one else. So sorry for the long post, I needed to get it all out. I'm gonna be strong and pass the store. Thanks for reading if you stuck around.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

As for E. you need to have the conversation. I am not a councilor but I have a lifetime of of experience being a guy... unless you say something he will continue on his oblivious path.
How did your day go? I am serious, I want to hear all about it!
I remember not being with my own mother when she lay dying, in a hospital bed. I yearned to have her back in the worst way and I carried alot of guilt over not being with her when she took her last breath.
This lasted for 30 years until I went through treatment followed by AA. I learned to let go of all that guilt with the help of the 12 steps of AA and I learned to let go of my mother as well. When I did that, I noticed all these little miracles going on around me, like my mother was saying to me, "Thankyou for letting me go! See you when you get to Heaven!"
Nowadays when I get together with family, we talk about the past in a good way, with an appreciation for those who have been in our lives, who have past on and we talk about the good times we shared! We always try to focus on the present and leave the past in the past and waiting for the future to get here!
God Bless!
