Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Wishing you a peaceful and happy weekend and 4th of July.
Whether you acted like the fool to your family is secondary -- you acted the fool to yourself.
But that's over, and you know drinking doesn't work for you and you've proved it. Hopefully that's a relief -- you never have to feel this way again.
Come on back up on the wagon.... there is always room for one more.
If you're done questioning whether or not you've got a problem, now you can do something about it.
You are not a fool, just suffering from an illness. Take a walk, do yoga, read a book, write a journal, make solemn promises to yourself and to your family that you will never drink again. Then go out and buy a decent supply of hangover medication because it will probably happen again, and again and again.
I could suggest a remedy that will solve your problem for good and give you a great life and you wont even have to fly to Florida to get it. I could suggest it but I dont want to accused of pushing AA.
I realize the circumstances that lead to this slip. Because I realize this it is my extreme hope that I won't let this happen again.
Trying to look at the bright side. I 40 something days sober. Which is huge for me. I slipped. But I picked myself up after 2 days. Not a month. I could have easily stayed off the wagon.
But I know I don't want to be that person. Drinking is bad for my health and for running a business. I didn't get a thing done friday.
