For the last several months, I have started attending AA meetings again. I have felt the urge to sponsor again, but haven't been able to make the necessary committment because of my busy, stressful job.
Last night I went to my regular Friday night meeting. We had a newcomer. When I shared ESH, I felt her eyes riveted on me. After the meeting, I introduced myself and gave her my number. She texted me this morning, asking if I would meet her at a meeting. I did, we talked and attended another meeting together. We will talk again tomorrow.
I believe I lost my job so I would be available to help another alcoholic achieve sobriety.
