Good things happen to those who stay sober. Nobody knows why or how but there are lots of theories.

I was told this around the time of my first AA meeting and after seeing it for myself, I am helping to spread the word!

That's great! Yes, I know being happy and sober at the same time is possible. I have done that myself. I cannot say that I was happy during the sober days, but it's a hell of a lot better than being constantly intoxicated.

congrats,i too am a lot happier sober,took me a little time off and on I had my moments,now I am 16 months sober and can say life is wayyyy better!!!!keep up the great work.life is a thought ,when you get the craving change your thought and it will pass quickly!!all the best now and in the future!!

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
