read my posts I say it alot around here well sort of yours is a little different, lol!. I heard it first from my first sponsor many yrs ago and it's a good saying. The thing is with thinking you don't get anything accomplished, so you have to take the action of living right my saying is always, you have to live your way into right thinking, you can't think your way into right living.

Nice and right!! When you have an alcoholic mind you can't go by your thoughts and feelings. Those SOBes do nothing but cheat and lie.
As of late my sponsor has become fond of marching around and mowing foreclosed lawns,, freakin' works~~~ action,, nice thread.

It has to be true, how can you change your faulty thinking with your faulty thinking?? Action's the key as you rightly point out. Sitting around thinking creates all sorts of problems whereas action leads to life suddenly looking a bit different and it goes on from there!

Serenity...it is easy to change one's faulty thinking. Ever hear the expression......move a muscle, change a thought?

It is important to have the "head knowledge," but you cannot do without the action part. Studying the Big Book and other materials related to recovery is a VERY good start. However, moving the info from your head to your heart is essential for recovery.

IOW, get off your A$$ and practice what you know!

I like it put that way too Mike. It's so true, action is almost always the key. But sometimes it has to be thought out action. But I tend to want to get lost in the thinking and since I'm not telekinectic nothing gets done!
