Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I remember when I first quit drinking and drugging, I tried hundreds of times to do it alone and I failed miserably each time.
I needed help. I needed the team approach. I needed the people here and at AA to show me the way, to teach me out to be sober! I couldn't figured out how to just quit drinking! I felt like I needed it to survive, like food, or oxygen! I had success with this team approach idea and I constantly drew from the Power of those who have come before me and had managed success with sobriety. I am always glued to their every word!
In the beginning of the super bowl, the coach spoke to his players and he said something very simple yet so important and I could relate it to the challege of sobriety. This is what he said: "When you're out there today and you find yourself thinking about the future, go back to the present," "Play the next play." The person that told us that was Malcom Butler who made the game saving interception to preserve the win for the Patriots!
I was in the store, looking for some snacks to watch the super bowl with and found myself walking by the liquer isle! I stopped in front of my favorite drink thinking about the good times I use to have. Then I kept wallking.....I also made a game saving interception! I "intercepted" my thoughts to win the game and defeat the demon who tempted me! Nowadays, I think about the consequences of my actions before doing something I know, I'll later regret and I do it, "One play at a time".....One day at a time!
God Bless!
