i will not drink i will not drink even tho it is a warm spring evening, hubby is out back on th epatio drinking a beer. but i want to feel good in the morning. i want to be useful.

Thank you all. I did go out and enjoy the sunshine, i also kept busy with a few chores, called my 7 year old neice and talked to her on th ephoine (that'll distract ya, i'm tellin ya!) and now i am about to go to church. I hardly ever go on wednesday nites, but i am going tonite.. again, thanks ya'll

Could you not ask hubby to quit the booze - just for a bit? My partner actually went to the pub for a few pints this evening which was ok (I'm not into pubs anymore and he seldoms goes) but isn't drinking in the house. Just not having the booze there is helpful.

That is great that you didnt pick up and good for you to find someting to distract you. will your hubby consider not drinking in the home?

My trigger was knowing someone near me is drinking.It is the most common way that I know that cause others to bust.I know no one who was able to resist drinking under such pressure.Maybe I need to get out more.

Well done getting out of harms way,Church never hurt anyone.

my husband says he is proud of me for not drinking like i was, but no, he still wants to enjoy his beers. i know he loves me, heck maybe he has a problem too i don't know, but as we all DO know, nobody can make u see if u have a problem.. it has to come from within

YOu are so right about that hun...try to only focus on you and get better and try to keep your self busy then when he is drinking, like doing yard work so you can keep yourself busy plus enjoy the nice weather.
