Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Congratulations on day 1.

You have an emotional day tomorrow. Do some self-care, be gentle with yourself and don't beat yourself up. That doesn't help. Rejoice in the days you were able to remain sober and build back up from there.
Just my 2 cents :D
You had almost three weeks of sobriety before one day of weakness, and that is pretty damn good in my book! I'm sure you'll remember the feelings you're having today and it will fuel your success going forward. Also be sure to note (I suggest you write it down) what triggered your relapse so you can be aware of this in the future. I keep a short list of all my key triggers as a reminder of the events or feelings that push me towards a drink. It's really helpful to refer to when I feel an urge coming on.
So we begin again today. Always here without judgement, always strong together fighting the same battle.
It's a beautiful autumn day here in Montana. Unseasonably warm. Going to post often today and sit on my porch :) at the hospital my mom will be at there are aa meetings. I'm thinking of going.
It tells you that your initial attempt was lacking something---can you afford yourself some "you time" to deduce what that is?
YOU are not a failure. You are winning every time you dust yourself off and get back up.
Peace, love, sobriety,
Sosa xx
It takes guts to confess a relapse. Believe me, I know they're embarrassing, I've had a few notable ones myself.
It does get easier. The longer you stay away from alcohol the less that you think about it, crave it, have it in the house or even like to be around it. Eventually your life can be completely free of alcohol. You'll get there. Just keep trying.

I am glad you only fell for a day... I know with an absolute certainty that today is a great day to be sober.
And here is where I feel most welcome especially after a BAD day!
We all have our triggers, now you know when "mom" is involved have all of your "don't drink" tools ready :) - and we have all been in your shoes before (I have practically worn holes in them)... and I don't beat yourself up - 20 days is a HUGE accomplishment!!! now for 21! never give up.
Smooches and take care of yourself...
