At my home group meeting last night the topic was gratitude but we also read the daily reading and there was a line in there about how gratitude leads to humility without which there cannot be true anonymity . Not a direct quote by any means but that was the gist.
It got me thinking about the levels of this program and even of a seemingly straightforward concept like anonymity.
At first that meant nobody knew I was at one of those meetings.
Later it meant that while I no longer cared who knew I was a member I wanted what I said to be secure.
But according to this definition it's the anonymity of good deeds . The best good deeds are the ones no one needs to know who did.
