Why brag about it??? If you are good at anything then one does not need to brag about it. You will naturally shine. In addition, creating goodness in others' lives is a honor, one which one needs not and desires not to brag about...so don't get your question unless it is meant for others whom you might believe to be doing what you are suggesting? If so, why not pm them...for I believe most people truly are good people who are not thinking about the benefits of being a good person.

I'll tell you a story - it shows how wrapped up we can get in pride. Last month, I went to fill up my car and the gas pump wouldn't work. I had already plugged my credit card, so I angrily walked inside and said "what gives?" The clerk said "try it now". I went out, and still, no gas. Now I'm twice as angry and come back in, wait in line, and tell her still "no gas" and this is supposed to be a self serve pump. We went through this three times, until she finally walked out with me.

Do you know what I did? I had been grabbing the diesel gas pump the whole time, even though I'd paid for regular gas. Good thing it didn't work or I would've wrecked the car. I've only been pumping gas for about 30 years.

I was so wrapped up in my self righteousness, I couldn't even speak. I filled the gas, sucked up my pride, went inside and thanked her for setting me straight. A daily lesson in humility for my self-righteous ass!

Well I start by complaining LOUDLY about how everyone is out to get me. They are attacking me, ME!? Poor sweet me....

Oh and then I say how I am going to pray for all the a-holes who don't know what in the heck they are talking about. I add that I hope these a-holes see the light and get help. Secretly I know they are going to die-I swear! DIE! DIE! Then who is right, huh??Hell I am a sweety dagnabit. Only want the best for da peeps.

I found that when I developed a healthier sense of self esteem I had less need for validation and less temptation to brag. To me, humility is knowing you're just as worthy as anyone but no more better than anyone else.
