Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I heard this in a meeting a couple of months ago, and since then, it has been a very helpful tool for my recovery.
A friend shared that the person, place, thing or situation that most occupies my mind and heart on any given day has become my HP/god for the day. That could be financial worries, a non-so-nice co-worker, the price of gas, a hurt feeling or a disagreement with a loved one.
When I feel that I am preoccupied with such concerns, I can now realize that my priorities are misplaced. I have learned to directly turn my thoughts and focus to my One, True Higher Power, whom I chose to call God.

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

thanks for sharing:)
I know that when I was drinking I worshipped - and was controlled by - a false god. It's name was alcohol.
The antidote to that was to find a spiritual path to the true God and ask Him to take charge of my life instead.
Alcoholics Anonymous showed me way to do that and I am forever grateful!
they say worry and faith cannot occupy the same space at the same time....I guess what I am saying is I have a back burner for me that I toss old HP onto when I am consumed in thinking of anything worrisome.
