Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I also play the ponies.
My days of slamming free drinks at the blackjack tables are over. I'm perfectly good with that.
It doesn't matter whether you are a daily drinker or a binge drinker, if you can't stop when you start or you keep going back to alcohol, despite your best intentions, seeking help is a brave and wise decision.
Personally Alcoholics Anonymous was the best route to sobriety for me, I learned to deal with underlying causes and conditions and the urge to drink went away. Recovery, for me, took 100% commitment and effort on my part, but once I learned what I needed to do, the drinking siren shut off quickly, I deal with other stuff on a daily basis.
Others will tell what helped them. I wish you well, it's a horrible hole to climb out of but many have done so and are well today.
