He is drinking again

He made it over a month. But once again he is drinking.

Time for separation and divorce.

Damn. I thought we might have a chance.

I am in the same boat. My husband says he is not an alcoholic, but I tend to disagree. I am highly sensitized as my dad was a bad alcoholic. Sometimes I think my past is causing my present problems. Have you read any Al-Anon books, or attended meetings? I did not attend but just bought Courage to Change. Have faith!

I was up late last night and happen to watch the Pastor Andy Stanley. He was having trouble with he father and was ready to give up on the relationship, he went to a counselor that said to him, you can give up on your father when God gives up on you! Very powerful words.

I am not giving up on my husband. But I will not stay with him while he is drinking. I am not willing to live with a drunk any longer and all that brings with it. I am taking my life back.

enough -- I hope you figure out what to do about the situation with your husband. I hope I get this figured out too.

I was hoping that he had only been drinking for a day or two. Not the case.

Thanks , by reading this I can hopefully make it thru the day without drinking. I read this post and that is how I was, and would be with just one drink... Back to the hel that is active alcoholism. Prayers

Argh. Alcoholism is baffling. I'm so so grateful to have not had mine progress to the point where my family had enough. I know that I'm eligible...so today I won't drink a day at a time.
Hopefully you get some relief. Might try alanon.
You can be happy joyous and free despite anyone else.

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
