Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
First and foremost I want to thank EVERYONE who offered their ES&H to my first post, "Here we go again!"
Have I made major headway in the last 2 weeks?
I woke up sober today and for me that's headway!
I am tempted, especially on good days like today, especially when the sun is out with blue skies and it's early March in PA and in the 50's, to want to jump ahead of where I am today. I want to give my magic-magnifying brain carte blanche to wip up some ideas of what I'm going to do "NEXT" which btw is almost as addictive as drinking for me.
I don't only get a couple of fantastical ideas in my head but before you know it I'm on the internet devouring information about my latest "GRAND PLAN" - thank goodness for vacuuming (which I do on Sunday) and the bit of exercise I try to do every day! Both activities bring me down to earth, out of the clouds, and out of my head!
Didn't have anyone offhand to share this all with - so here I am.
Hope you all are full of grace and gratitude.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Keep doing what you are doing because it sounds like it's working!
God Bless
