I am going on holiday with some AA friends tomorrow
.Ok no big deal but its my first holiday alone ie. without my wife and adult child.When I first got sober I tried to carry on with much of my family life,as I thought this was part of making amends.
My wife likes the social life.Party's meals out drinking etc. I tried to do all that sober and for a couple of years thought I was doing OK .Then a couple of years ago I realised I could'nt carry on like that.. So we have grown apart She has got on with her life and holidayed with friends
.Anyway this opportunity came along to go to Spain with 10 fellow AA members (some I haven't met yet)
I thought Life's way to short So I feel A bit nervous kind of out of my comfort zone But i'm Thankful that I was asked and grateful I'm in AA

my thinking includes:
No fear of getting arrested out of country for a drunken situation from any of you.
No one should need bailed-out
You will SEE the mornings in fantastic places with friends...no hangover.
You will see more than just bars.
