Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I have to say, being sober at 9:27PM on Friday evening is pretty damn cool. I spent 90% of my weekends getting loaded over the past 10 years. Being sober, alert and feeling so alive is hard to explain. I really look forward to my Saturday morning meetings. To wake up early on the weekends and feel so good is a high in itself. I am so thankful that I finally found AA. Lord knows I've missed out on enough the last 10 years. It will soon be spring and the possibilities are endless!

To be sober....on all of those nights and special occassions and sad to watch others that are struggling...but such a relief when sober.
And I LOVE being a designated driver...who'd thought!
