Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Hello. I am a 31 year old father of two and have been a binge drinker for 15 years, I also deal with depression and anxiety disorders. I am fairly confident that the alcohol makes these disorders even worse. The day after I drink I am prone to panic attacks and have to "hide out" from my family and friends because of these feelings. This is not fair to anyone and I am tired of hurting my loved ones. I am here to give and receive positive support to try and get over my daily urges. The worse I feel, the more I want to drink, which makes me feel worse. Thank you for listening.

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

that is the beginning...a desire to accept help with what is or has become problems of drinking...

My anxiety is still there, but more managed, I think I am far less depressed. I feel healthier.
Go for a walk, or work out for a release of endorphins.
Go to a meeting if you want to try it.
eat chocolate, keep busy, think about the feelings and feel them and find out that you can control them instead of them controling you.
Do whatever it takes to make not drinking a priority. You are worth it, so is your family. I was on a slippery slope, with my own son showing me how I could end up. You don't have to "hit bottom" you can quit before you destroy your life and your health. Good luck.
