I went to my first AA meeting tonight. I don't need a lot of congratulations, thank you. It was a good experience. I highly recommend it. Everyone was warm and welcoming. I met a lot of people who have problems like me. They seemed genuinely wanting to help. Give it a try. What have you got to lose?

Thanks for sharing oct. My first week of meetings gave me so much hope. Truly felt I was where I needed to be to heal.

I hardly remember a thing from my first AA meeting...I got scared and did not come to second meeting for nine more years...then it was several more to another meeting where I had decided I wanted what was contained inside the rooms of AA...sobriety...hugs and keep coming back...start to find out where people meet before or after the meeting for a cup of coffee or snacks or dinner whatever that helps you into the middle of the boat so to speak
