Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I haven't posted anything in a week or so because I have gone back to work and my children's after school activities are keeping me busy. I have been sober all week and weekend. I love how I feel. I have so much energy. The weekend was not spent trying to recover, but rather enjoying my time with my family. I also recognize that this can be a dangerous time for me. The little voice tells me, see you can do this and a couple of drinks every now and then won't hurt. I just keep reminding myself that one won't be enough, that the pain afterwards is not worth it. I have had to close myself off from some friends who get together and drink on the weekends. I hope to eventually be able to socialize again, but sober. I haven't gone to a meeting yet. I'm hoping this week I will be able to go. I try to read everyone's posts every day. I am so inspired by each and every one of you! Thank you for your honesty and motivation! You all are awesome!!!

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

Staying quit is the trick. Especially when that unease comes and those feelings of less than. I just couldn't stay quit on my own.

Reading this reminded me of the choices we make because we were given that right to do so. So please Irelynd....listen to the "Other" voice, the soothing voice of sobriety and the voice of Love instead of the loud, scratchy, overbearing, ego voice and you will be glad you did!, I promise!
God Bless!
I'm so glad I was attending AA meetings. I kept heard the stories of what happens and it has kept me sober for nearly 21/2 years.
I finally understood that I can never drink again. Now you can throw a huge party around me and I don't care. Going to Vegas this week, and I will enjoy the drunks.
Congrats on your success. When/if you start going to meetings, you will reach a whole new awakening.
