Can a person have a decent Easter, without beer? Because that's how I've always celebrated the rebirth of our Lord and Savior, you know, with the Blessed Beer Sacrement... Well, I'm standing here reporting to you from Other Side Of Easter, and I have to say that, yes, in fact, a person can have a seriously righteous AND SOBER Easter.
Big extended family, I think the last time we counted it was 42, people EVERYWHERE, food, candy, kids screaming, chasing, running... it's a madhouse! But this year, instead of hanging out with the guys in the driveway, slugging the beer, I just sorta wandered from room to room, visiting, talking, laughing, sometimes I felt like, er... what do I do with my hands... uhhhhh... and then I would snap out of it and say to myself "HEY! You are sober! Relax! These are the people who love you, even when you're a SLOBBERING IDIOT!!" And then I would relax and get comfortable back in my skin...
I wish I had tried this years ago. I wish I could've believed that I didn't HAVE to pre-drink for a family function. Why didn't anyone TELL me that?

It sounds like it was a great day indeed. This kind of thing my friend was happening all over the globe!!! Isn't it just grand to be in your own skin again. I am much loving being in my own skin. I mean this was perhaps the first sober Easter I can remember in a long time!!! Many -- many more to you!!!!

As your words say, it feels good...the sun is shining and it is nice to know that we will end the day sober..
It doesnt matter that no one told us before, today we are just where we are meant to be :)
