Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I am on day 3 of no alcohol and feel amazing....Last night I really wanted a drink...but instead went to dinner at a place that did not serve alcohol...that really helped...my brain is so alive and awake....I know that there will be upcoming temptations and I am new....I am hoping to have control of my drinking at some point....but for right now...I want to be sober

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

God Bless
Remember you don't have to drink no matter what. Your brain might tell you this time will be different; or just one won't matter; but remember not to trust that voice. Getting sober isnt the 'hard' part; staying sober can me. But we do it a day; and sometimes a minute at a time. Never pick up that first drink today and you'll be just fine.
Congratulations,
Good luck and God Bless!l
Today I try to Get sober not quit drinking. I go out and take actions to help to stay on my path.
I wish for all good, happy sober. It is possible.

There were times in the beginning when it was difficult but now I am loving it. Life is so much better sober!
Stay with, ans StickyWick say, one day, one minute at a time. Breathe through your cravings. Drink lots of water, eat good food and some extra sweets.
Great job so far! Keep going!
Look forward to hearing about you making your next marker, whatever that is for you!
When i quit, I was in a state where it took about 5 weeks to gain mental clarity. Stay off the sauce and see what life has to offer.
