Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Failed! Friday I had 1/2 bottle of wine. Saturday I had 2 glasses of wine, Sunday 1 tin of beer. For me that is really good. And, I felt ok-ish fir not drinking more than that.
Then last night my circumstances ALLOWED me to get wasted. 1 bottle of wine and 1 tin of beer. Boy do I regret it. Having had a taste of being sober last week, I really enjoyed it. I looked and felt great. Today, I can't beleive how awful I feel, my bones ache, I'm paranoid, grumpy, weepy, hungry (been eating rubbish food all day), hallucinations, I have cystitis, I'm in bed in the middle of the day, I can't focus. God was I like this every day??? What us the point, what a waste of a day.
By now I would usually be planning what to drink next. Something in me has changed. I don't want to do it any more.
I'm too scared to go to the doctors and ask for help. What if they put a black mark against me? What if they try and take. Y child away and say I'm a drunken unfit mother?
Can I buy drugs off the Internet to stop me craving I wonder?

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I don't know what your circumstances are, but I would talk with your doctor. I know it will be difficult but please try. I think you'd be surprised (pleasantly) it was to finally relieve yourself of that burden. Most likely, the doctor has heard your story (and much worse) many times before.
I don't recommend buying drugs off the internet. You don't know the quality or legitimacy of the products. What would you buy?
Cravings suck, but what helped me was drinking lots of water and I freely allowed myself to indulge in sweet products. Coca cola, almond M&Ms and ice cream helped. (Don't worry about the calories right now, unless you have a health condition where you shouldn't.) B vitamins also helped. I was in a situation where I couldn't really get out and about much, so that was a blessing in preventing me from going out and buying more alcohol. I did a lot of reading.
Hang in there!

In fact, when I saw the social worker, he helped me with some of my issues. He was there to help me, period.
Please bring your doctor in on this. Mine began the process of recovery for me.
In the meantime, clover had some great advice!
Peace
After I started going to AA meetings, the cravings went away and I stopped taking the camprell, in fact, I still have several bottles left over. You can only get it by prescription in the USA so you will have to ask your doctor for it.
Good luck!
Don't beat yourself up..this is not easy....you see that you felt better...and you can do it again.
I remember you were so broken...and after only 3 days..you felt amazing...you can do this.
Eat...and hydrate...and you will feel better.
Good Luck.
So feeling as bad as you did the day after makes you realize it is poison your putting in your body and it let you know. Stay strong I can tell your a fighter so win a round for yourself.
What worked for me was/ is AA. I didnt need a doctor to detox, but if you are physically addicted you do. If you are, talk to your dr. A "black mark?" As if that's a bad thing vs drinking ones self to death? There is no black mark -- its in your mind. So talk to your DR. Go to an AA meeting and share. But don't keep doing what you are doing and expecting different results.
