Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

hi friends
i tried to get sober on the 1st of they year. that lasted a day or two.
fast forward some terrble and clumsy nights and here i am sober 6 days. i started going to AA on 2/18 and i have been going daily, sometimes 2x a day.
i think it is making the difference. i have been wanting a break for many, many months. i think i am more capable than just a break since i have been participating in AA.
i urge anyone to go who is trying to recover on their own to give it a try. its made all the difference for me. ask a friend or family memeber to join or call your local AA and they will hook you up with great support.
i will pass on the gift i was given. im only in the beginnings of something incredible.
love, Kel

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Great to see that you are doing well. As you say it is the beginning of something incredible and if you stick with it, even better things are ahead.
Keep up the great work. It gets better and better and better then life happens but I dont have to crawl in a bottle over it
