Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
We get a routine and find comfort in the routine. It brings a sense of stability, something that was likely missing from our days of indulgence.
Then life shows up, we become employed or otherwise a bit more active in our own lives and that unfamiliar new stuff begins to feel...unfamiliar. We're not used to making new friends and engaging in other activities. The routines of daily life change and myself, I want notification of impending changes. I want to decide ahead of time if I would care to partake in these changes.
But sometimes I have to acknowledge change. I must admit a need for it. Without change, those routines become boring. Complacency has room for routine, but also opens a yearning for more.
I only have to be careful to add no more than I am comfortable without changing or subtracting from the routines which help me feel grounded.
Look at all you have accomplished.
Hold on to that.....Things get better...cravings come and go...and less with the more time you keep.
Your worth it!
Good plans you have.....I know you have pressure around you....its always handled better sober.
:)
