Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

So today is my 4 day sober, and I have to say that today was much better than days 1,2,&3. I woke up and had energy and a positive attitude all day. My actions do effect my kids behaviour and they were so well behaved. I spent most of the day cleaning my house I had to make a fresh start. Tomorrow morning I plan on starting an exercise regiment. I have been drinking plenty of water all day. This is going to be an inside and outside transformation/ purification :)
Tomorrow I also plan on looking into literature to read. I dont want it to be the big book. I have tried that before a couple of times and that just isnt what I need this time. This isnt my first time trying to quit/ stay quit, and I am aware of why I am the way I am already. Also my family and friends know as well. I have been in communication with them through this process and I have everyones full support. It's never been like this the last times I have attempted this. I feel lucky to be where I am today and there is no turning back for me.I finally have my son in my life and with me for good, it had been 8 years. My heart is fully complete now

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

It simply teaches us the absurdity of what we are doing to ourselves.

I've found the personal tales from 165-559 are incredibly powerful to my condition. I read the big book every day.
Perhaps you need to skip over the plan, and hear more recovery stories.
What is helpful for me is the recovery stories, and having support. Also I am now at a place where I have been to hell and back and have learned many life lessons which have helped me reach a place of clarity. :)
There is absolutely no better medicine for me than to meet and talk with other alcoholics. I would not be sober alone , I tried it so many times.

It walks you through each of the 12 steps in easy to understand language. It taught me how to communicate with my Higher Power and my life improve tremendously, from that point on! I highly recommend!
God Bless!
