You're probably having a lot of anxiety and possibly some withdrawal - been there, trust me. Please google HAMS or Harm reduction. Drink lots of water and give yourself a break as your body adjusts to a new state of being. I find that as hard as life seems it is ALWAYS harder with alcohol involved. So have patience and keep doing what you are doing. One day at a time. Breathe

My husband filed for divorce, my daughter hit me so hard in the back my right leg is numb, I had to have a breast mri for cancer and my professor wasn’t answering any of my email in a project I was doing . That’s what I mean by mess anxiety not too bad since I started the acupressure seeds in my ears . My daughter is very angry over the seperation and my other daughter is having a really hard time

Plan is college finish my degree , both girls are in therapy . Me to stop drinking .

Keep putting one foot in front of the other and try not to look back. I know, easier said than done.

I will never forget the words of an older fellow at my first AA meeting. I arrived early and sat in the back next to a guy that had many years of sobriety. I told him all the collateral damage I had caused around me with my drinkin and druggin. I was all upset as I told him every detail but he just gently smiled and listened attentively. When I finished talking, I was hoping to hear some words of advice but all this man said was simple and direct as he replied, "All you have to do is stay sober, one day at a time. That's ALL you have to do! Everything else will take care of itself!"

I could not believe what I just heard and was quite disappointed he didn't tell me what I wanted to hear but I think he knew it. So I listened to the old man. I just focused on staying sober and I accepted everything else for what it was, where it was, and I didn't try to fix it because I was doing what I was told. Just trying to stay sober one day at a time..........and it worked!

Gradually, things began to get better! It was as if a Higher Power was manipulating the pieces of the puzzle of my life and placing them exactly where they needed to be, when they needed to be there! I had money coming from places I never expected......I got a new job that I really liked......and my relationships improved! But there was more, lots more. I learned alot by listening to others who had been in my shoes. I have several books that might help you out which you can have for free if you trust me with your address. If not then I totally understand.

One thing at a time. Don't get overwhelmed. That is what my disease wants. It wants me to drink and then I'm helpless and hopeless.
