Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I'm glad to hear that you have made the decision to quit. That's the hard part;
Do you have a plan? My dr suggested that I surround myself with other people who are trying to get sober too.
Big hugs and good luck.
Check with your doctor about detoxing. From there seeking some type of help such as AA, SMART Recovery, and/or Women for Sobriety can be very important. Also counseling can be helpful. Any combination of these resources can help one quit. Quitting with the support of family and friends is also a viable option.
