Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I kept relapsing (i.e. making the conscious decision to drink once again) as long as I considered "relapsing" an acceptable part of recovery. Once I told myself "I don't relapse anymore", I haven't had a single relapse. Coincidentally, that was about the time I accepted the 12 steps of recovery as suggested by AA and worked all the steps.
That was 11 1/2 years ago.

I tried to get and stay sober for years before I got any long term sobriety. I felt hopeless and less than zero in the self worth dept.
There are many people in my home group / AA who are in and out. Some say they did this for YEARS before putting together a year or more. Others are sober for years and then relapse. I hate the disease; my heart breaks for the alcoholics who want sobriety and don't find it. I can relate and its hell.
