It's the dreaded hunting weekend I spoke about a few weeks ago! I did talk to my husband about how I felt about the drinking that would go on around me this weekend. His friend arrived last night and for the first time in a decade, he did not arrive with alcohol! You would think this would have pleased me, but you would be wrong! At first I was righteously indignant that my husband had obviously told him about my drinking (or lack thereof). I sat in the living room fuming that my confidentiality had been breached! How dare my husband talk to his friend about my issue!! And then...I reflected (honestly) and realized what I was really angry about was that my husband had removed my excuse for drinking this weekend!!! And yes folks, I admit that I used the folks around me drinking last weekend as my excuse for drinking those two glasses of wine! Honesty stinks :-)!!
