Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I'm on it, works for me. Not sure what's so bad about mentioning it on here. Yes, I get it, it doesn't deal with the root of the problem as in why you feel you need to drink in the first place, but it got me to a place where I could be clear headed enough to deal with that rationally and get to counselling and improve my living situation. I'm on the pills, didn't bother getting the implant, I don't have any problems remembering to take my pill every day.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Can’t say that I have tried it or similar products but if it works for you, that is well and good. There is nothing whatsoever wrong with mentioning it here and it may well help other people too.
It's the same idea as taking suboxone for an opiod addiction. It is just meant for short term use but there are a few who think they can be on it permanently, so what happens is 3 or 4 years down the road, you stop taking it and you go through extreme hell with the withdrawals, as opposed to weaning off it after a few months with no withdrawals so it's a piece of cake!
It might be a good idea to have a plan in place for when you go off the naltrexone and keep reminding yourself it's for short term use only. My saving Grace was AA and if I had to do it all over again, I would do it the same way!
God Bless

Have to admit being sober all the time is a lil boring but I'm going to take up some hobbies, problem is choosing a hobby that interests me. Hardly know what I'm into anymore.
