Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Well i decided to put my self on Antabuse...and so far so good...i know when i start my day i dont have to fight my brain over decision
Drink or not to drink....in my mind i know rght away..i have no choice..and i respect the pill strenght,i dont have need to test it,also it stays in the body up to 14 days,so little bullet proof ;-)
also it trains my brain and creating new habit of thinking-Alcohol is bad will make me extremly sick...i like to have this hanging over my head..somebody like me who struggle with impulse control, also diagnosed bipolar ,this is literally a Life saver .
This might not be for everybody, but works for me ;-)

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

i done AA...AA retreats .....sponsors.....big book....not for me.....i never enjoyed it(for many reasons)
i had sponsor ..and all that...but not my cup of tea

I took Antabuse and naltrexone. I wanted to hit buy it now and find a cure for my alcoholism. Only thing that ever worked was a change in my mindset. Alcoholism is in my brain not my stomach.
I applaud your efforts, any win is a win. The real trick is to find a way to be happy and free of the drugs. And Alcohol IS a drug. It is possible

I think the reason why the 12 steps worked for me is due to some trauma I had suffered early in life and the pain from that was deep in the recesses of my mind. I buried it in other words and when it tried to come out to hurt me all over again, I would drink or take narcotics to make me artificially happy. With the steps, I was forcing myself to face that pain and validate it which made it much easier to let it go. No more trigger equaled no more of my craving the drink. It reminds me of the emdr therapy I went through while in an outpatient program, accept it goes beyond that.
Self love is so important and I believe it is the key to happiness!
God Bless
