Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

This is what I know from experience - NOTHING can stop an alcoholic like me drinking until the personal desire to be free of it outweighs the psychological desire and physical need to drink.
I agree with that statement. I believe that gaining sobriety is very much about establishing and maintaining your personal level of desire after fully understanding how much better your life can be without alcohol.
I remember Shick from my childhood when used as an aversion therapy for smoking. I remember that is worked for some, but not all. I took anabuse during my first 6 months of sobriety. By then, I had a good foundation for sobriety. I did talk to the dr. about taking it at a later date if I started thinking that I was "cured". It was not necessary for me to take it again. I accepted to my deepest self that I could never drink again as anything other then that as an alcoholic.
Support resources available to graduates are vital with meetings held at the main facility and other locations weekly. One can also participate in the meetings by calling in from anywhere in the world -- and we do!
Many insurance companies cover all or a portion of the significant cost of the program but it is well worth it. It gave me my life back.
