yes there are loads and loads of AA meetings and different types of meetings as well....so skip around check into other places and see whose going there...also remember there are good AA meetings and Sick AA meetings...leave those sick ones for someone else to end up relapsing from....

I made two "stops" before I found my current meeting room. They are all different and even I find some faults in my current meeting , However I must say I find much power in the group. It is a safe place to share what's bothering me and hear about others struggles and triumphs.

It was the only way I could get any length of sobriety. I also found new friends and I needed that as all my other friends were boozrs

Congrats on Day 4 and connecting with a different AA group! It took me a second try as well and I found another one I liked just this morning. So your example is a good lesson for us all!

I am not surprised you felt the presence of your Higher Power. I think it's when you put a group of minds together who are collectively asking, "There must be a better way" You are actually asking your Higher Power to do for you what you can't do for yourself.

When I first started going to AA meetings, I noticed, I would always have better days following the meeting. I hope you keep going to meetings, talk with others, listen, share, get a sponser and do the steps and then see how great your life can be!

Good for you. I hope you find your higher power and can stay sober and not have to go test the waters again. It is possible. I have done it for over 20 years. It is hard some times but it is worth it.
