Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Do not just accept change, accept it entirely. So dont allow yourself to suffer when your life hits , with either confusion or self doubt. Unlocking your power means you are unlocking yourself from the cage of thought that your mind sets: its just the way I am, I cant change that. Most people program their minds like computers to think that way. That cage of thought its an apology for people who fear and resist change.
You drop something that is burning your hand, right? No need to analyze the consequences of holding on. If you could "see" or "feel" the consequences of bad habits or thinking patterns just as clearly, you could drop those almost as quickly.
Not so easy is it? But what if awareness of the truth at hand ,was talked about with a trusted friend Or relayed in the prayer of your leanings...I've found disclosing My doubts or fears or My reality to be powerful in the process of change. Asking for help, for me is healthy, not a sense of defeat or failure.
A win- win scenario for everyone involved.
When I got sober they said "they only stupid question was the one not asked" made sense to me!!!

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

There are certain posts from folks here that I like to start my day with. Billy, you are always one of them. I love the way you think.
Have a great day everyone!

The key to my sobriety has been my honesty. Not hiding anything from my wife, my sponser and myself. Life is an adventure for me and a good one which I welcome with open arms every day!
I leave my problems to my Higher Power to solve for me. I have no worries, and I couldn't be happier!
Peace!
I will be asking my sponsor lots of questions when we meet in the morning. Bringing her homemade scones to celebrate and thank her. Then noon women's group meeting, will make my day as it always does.
Little changes, lots of progress, 6 months sober, (almost), I am grateful.
i would say to people PLEASE DON'T BE HARDHEADED LIKE MYSELF - lol - acceptance is so much easier!!!
Peace!
To me, by going through the steps, by working the steps on a daily basis, change and growth happen and I can see that.
I don't always know what is going on yet, if I let go let HP, the answer is always revealed.
Yep, the only stupid question is the one you do not ask....I was told that too.
