I am going to be here right with you. Starting a new week, here we go again. I am starting out my Monday with a wine headache. I drink when I am bored, lonely. I am not happy with some situations in my life right now and I am the one that needs to change. I need some support.....

Good luck with your teaching gig. You've got this and you CAN get through the stress without drinking! I'm sure you will do GREAT:)

Thanks. I drink when I am bored too Paddy. I've been trying to not let myself get bored. If I do get bored I quickly try and remedy that. Even if it's just picking up the acoustic guitar that I don't know how to play. I have been picking at a few notes my son taught me and sometimes just doing that for 5 or 10 minutes helps to distract me.

Confidence
Confidence is my True Self expressing.

I was not born to hide my gifts, stifle my imagination, or withhold love. God made me to shine! Any critical thoughts about myself are like mud covering a brilliant gem.

I take three deep breaths to cleanse my mind of any negativity. With each breath, I wash away any thoughts of unworthiness. I release limits I have allowed to dominate my mind. And I let go of any shame about mistakes I have made.

I claim a clean slate in this moment and affirm the truthI am wise, loving, and creative. My confidence increases as I see myself clearly. My true self shines forth like a nugget of gold washed clean of mud.

I am a shining expression of Spirit!

Commit to Sober. It is amazing but my anxiety and depression lifted when the booze was removed.

Yes, there is something to be said for Monday. Fresh starts, and all that. After months of trying "moderation management" - I am back to no drinking at all. Period. Seems I do well for a while, then build back up to where I was. No headache. Just fatigue, lack of motivation, etc. I can drink 4 or 5 shots of vodka or gin, and be clear the next day. My blood pressure, however, is another matter. Okay . . . that's enough. Just wanted to say "yeah" for the start of a fresh week. As long as I am still breathing, I can start again.
