Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Hi group. Want to say that I think you’re all pretty great for the support given here. Tomorrow is 11 months sober for me. I had an enchanting evening walk with nature all around and sat in a field by a pond in quiet, meditating and watching the sun set. After clearing my mind I asked for guidance and strength to continue on my path of awareness. And I heard an answer. Deep inside I felt god. And I knew in that moment what I have to do. So I feel pretty confident that I won’t have a drink tonight. Lol. I’m a spiritual mut. I read alot of buddist wisdom because it resonates with me. But all religions are one in my mind. I haven’t thought of having a drink in nine months because I have opened my heart to something bigger than myself. Love. We are all meant for greatness in spirit. That’s my reality check. It’s too important to ignore. A calm clear mind is the best gift I ever gave myself. It’s making it possible to do the real work. EFFORT. The ingredient for doing anything worthwhile. A very precious creation.

I accidentally deleted a journal entry that I wish I hadn't. Is there any way to get it back?

Instead of going to work I slept in until 11 am Now I'm treating myself at McAllister's to a Spud Max. When I go back tomorrow it will be Friday!

Congratulations on 11 months! That's a big accomplishment. You beat the odds as most don't get that far. Keep on keeping on!
God Bless
