Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Keep posting here and/or find some type of support system. There are many choices available, including AA and SMART Recovery. I'm sure that others will share their stories.
Me...Day 5 I think...I'm not going to count...I'm going to keep going. I have a son addicted to heroin who has 2 months sober (but with Methadone)....I don't care.
He's alive.
I'm alive.
And thank you for sharing your struggle!
I realize I need to stay away from down time at this point even if tired. Not ready to leave time on the table just yet but I will get there.
Count the time.
Scream it to the world...keep it to yourself...whatever your pick.
Just stay sober for yourself so you can live.
Great job on 9 days! Stay with it -- it gets easier and life is so much better sober.
That was difficult but the urge passed. Thx again for helping me with your posts...
I remember every time I got thru an urge..how powerful I felt....it only enhanced my will to survive and to not drink.
