Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

That's fantastic that you are at 50 days. You must be feeling great:)
I'm only on day 3 and can already see a change in my attitude. I'm looking forward to 50 days! I'm looking forward to a lot of things now that my mind is clearing, my head is hurting but my mind is clearing, haha! I plan to say to myself each morning before I get out of bed, I will not drink today. This will be the first Friday night without alcohol for me in a VERY long time. I'm looking forward to taking my son out to dinner. I'm looking forward to no hangover on Saturday morning :).
Happy Friday!

I made a list of reasons why I chose not to drink. It was important early on to review that list every morning (and evening) to remind myself of all the potential negative results of drinking.
It was also important for me to remember that I was CHOOSING not to drink - that I had a choice because I wasn't going to let alcohol control me, I was the one in control.
Good luck!
Rich
God Bless!

That is the real crux is to figure out how to stay quit The thing that really helps is to jot down what I am greatful for. A greatful alcoholic won't drink

I also have a copy by my desk so I see it often during the day.
I know in the past - When I thought I could moderate - I would look at the list and think "if I don't get drunk..." but I didn't ever succeed in moderating.
Now I look at the list more as a reminder of all the times I failed as much as a reminder of why I don't want to drink anymore.
