Day 4

Good Morning

Today is day 4.

Yesterday my wife and I went to a burger place and I had a cheese burger and a chocolate shake just like I used to when I was a kid. It was delicious and very satisfying.

Hi Rich, It sounds like you're appreciating the simple things in life (maybe more than you used to?) One thing that helped me understand my Higher Power's role in my life is when I started noticing all of the LITTLE THINGS He would do for me, (help me catch my bus on time, make it stop raining as I walked, that special item on my grocery list was the last one on the shelf, etc.). I'd ask myself, "Who else would care so much about me as to take care of all these little things?" It made me want to do right by Him, and live a life He could appreciate! That's kept me sober since 1983. You're well on your way.

You're doing it, Rich! Keep trying! I've been watching your posts as I"m going on day two!

Perhaps I need to move back to California to have an In and Out Burger. LOL

Mmmmm a shake saved my as many a day early on. I drank so many Wendy's shakes I can't even drink one now.
