Lots of water and vitamins. And for me I needed help with the depression I was having. It was bad at the beginning and my dr gave me lexapro and it helped me thru the rough start. Honestly it took about 3 weeks until I was not like on the moon. I had trouble talking and even thinking was difficult. My body was in a bad place because I had pickled it and my liver was producing 3x the normal enzymes. It took awhile but it's so worth it to not have to drink anymore You can do this

It does get better. It's different for each of us, but I guarantee it things will get better if you don't drink.

Yes it definitely is different for each of us and you might want to talk to your doctor about that because you could have some undiagnosed depression causing it. I did and I was put on Pristiq which was one of the newer ssri's at the time, and it worked quite well for me. Talk to your doctor!

I know what you mean... So tired right now I don't have the energy to make some replies here that I'd like to do. Day 38 for me, Still doing ok.

The first couple of weeks I was exhausted and needed lots of catnaps. I think my body needed to sleep to heal. After about a month I got my energy back. Some days I still felt like I had a foggy brain, but that lifted as well.

Stick with it. It gets better and it definitely is worth it!

It takes 14 days to get over the physical withdrawal. If you continue to have fatigue after that see a doctor. It could be something other than alcoholism. In my case, it was sleep apnea. I had it treated an I am doing fine now.

Patton is the fatigue issue resolving?

Still really fatigued. Day 11. Work has been a real struggle. I have been taking a Multi-Vitamin, Thiamine (per Doctors instructions) and a B-Complex. Still suffering from a terrible feeling of tiredness. Legs are heavy and I have zero strength. Today should be a pretty light day at work so im hoping I feel better tomorrow.

What sucks is ive been hitting the caffeine so hard to get through my day that im going to have to get sober from that drug too now......

Patton, I'm sure this will go away; however, if it does not show any trend of improvement, I would check with a doc, as others mentioned, other issues may be to blame. A lot of caffeine only helps for a while, then the crush happenes, at least to me reducing coffee intake mede me feel much better. I admit my withdrawal was not so bad so I can't properly relate, but everything got slowly better for me after that. You should be very patient, even the world was made in seven days :) Don't get frustrated, take it day by day. I found that exercising helped a lot. If you are not used to it, start slowly, even with as little as 15 min slow jog, or whatever you prefer. Keep in touch.
