Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Stay connected with your support groups Bob, and stay in prayer too.
Love you Buddy

helping you is in putting yourself in the higher power's control....how is your prayer life? I find that prayer is higher power's desire and he gives me results to prove that....hope you are able to go there tonight....
what kind of work was wife in? what happened that she was let go? Enquiring minds want to know.... :) well this busybody does anyway....hugs bill
I'm so sorry for so much trouble all at once. I'm happy for you though, that nobody has lost a limb or gone into the hospital, and there have been no fires or floods.
Please take extra good care of yourself - enough rest, enough peaceful time, the best (NON-industrial) food you can manage.
Some of the stories I love the most are of people whose seemingly hopeless situation changed radically. Colonel Sanders, the Otis elevator guy, Coco Chanel (finally successful at 70)!
This rough spot will change - everything always changes - and maybe it's a precious opportunity to direct the next phase.
Sending thoughts and prayers,
Lucy
Hang in there.
Bootoo I know your right, it's what life is, a series of ups and downs.
Thankyou too Living, I know I need a meeting if I can afford the gas to get there. Sometimes it sucks living out in the country.
Billy Love you too man and I am still waiting for you to pick me up....saved all week for your Latte lol!
BillyW The wife does in home care of mentally ill people. She is still technically employed by the agency but is out of work after losing her last client. She is just waiting for the agency to place her somewhere else. and still waiting.
Thanks for the complement on our new puppy. Hated to lose our last and hated to be without those big eyes staring at us so we were lucky enough to find this one locally.
Blooming, I agree.
Lucy thankyou! I get your point, things can always be worse so I need to count my blessings and not focus so much on the negative.
You made me think of the comedian Foster Brooks who played a drunk man back in the 70's. I think he was in his 60's or 70's before he made it big.
Mac thats what I've been doing and have started having a little success for all my hard work. Hopefully it will continue.
Rival tough times is right.
Karmis, I hope it will all work out ty.
I got positive vibes from all these posts. Thankyou all very much!
Just put one foot in front of the other and keep on trying, things will change for you because everything changes eventually right? :)
You have come this far now and before long it's too far to go back and forward is the only option!
I realized today that my wife not working on Sunday's means I can go to my home group meeting again! YAY! I miss that group. If I can't make that one, I would rather not go at all!
Thankyou Rachel and Seren!
