Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Bigbear, (We have those up here to but they stay pretty well hidden for me) I use to think I knew everything but now am thinking I know nothing...like....who am I to give advice? Know what I mean?
Serenity, already did that and doc has no clue. Increased the dose on my antidepressant but I cut myself back, made me tired and even more depressed.
Stick...yor right :)
Billy she is a hellion...gets into everything like a siamese cat but yea she is cute although a little hard to house train but we'll get her there someday. Still missing my other one though. Ahh well thanks for all the comments!
Sorry to hear you are having a bad day. That weather sounds killer. I wouldn't like that either. I always read your posts with interest. I think you have a lot of good things to say. Hang in there,ok?
If the depression is ongoing, maybe the solution isn't upping your med, but trying a different one.
Your puppy looks adorable -- hope she brings you many smiles today.
Serenity, I honestly think I need to either get a different one or have something added to this one. I'll mention it to the dr next time I see her.
Bigbear, I was talking about the big critters in the woods, just kidden. I get what you mean, that the experience of others may help in my journey and that sharing my life's experiences with others helps alleviate the loneliness. Very much in agreement!
Thankyou!
When I had clinical depression I felt I couldn't bear face to face contact with other people, my first instinct was to withdraw but didn't realise quite how much it was affecting me - or how much I was doing it.
Just a thought... I know nothing about you and don't know what to say except that that was my experience when depressed and it was necessary to force myself out of the house, slowly building up on that. It helped a lot so meetings and service may be really worthwhile through this phase of the way you are currently feeling.
I could drive myself crazy with my thoughts. I remember the times, when depressed, staring up at the moon and stars and contemplating how tiny and insignificant I was in the greater scheme of things... until I felt quite dizzy with it all! Lol.
I'm not suggesting you might be thinking like this, but just showing where my thinking could take me. How "nothing" and "purposeless" I could feel at times.
Since I have been active in AA and the wider world those kind of thoughts are a thing of the past. I rely on God and helping others to take me out of myself. I'm not one of those saying AA/NA instead of the anti-depressants, but both can complement each other.
I know true depression is not a case of "cheering up" and that it is a clinical problem, but I hope you soon get some relief, both medically and in your life in general.
